He actually does some really cool blues stuff, it's just not the band's "go
to" style, despite what their name suggests.

If you get a chance to listen to their first, self-titled album: "Blues
Traveler" there is a song called Warmer Days (which features Joan Osborne on
vox).  That's a pretty straightforward blues tune.  He's also done a number
of blues jams with musicians that I think are incredible.  It's really neat
to hear how he pays tribute to a traditional blues harp solo style, and then
segues it and integrates it into his own personal style.

But yeah, a traditional blues harp player he is not, nor is the band.
